Trios

For each set, think of one word only which can be used appropriately in all three sentences.

  1. Before any major fight the champ trains in the gym every day for 4 hours without ......... .
  2. You are too kind to me. I don't know what to say. Words ............ me!
  3. I ....................... to understand why he's so nasty most of the time. He can be nice when he wants.
Please give the answer as a comment :)

Comrade, this a bad choice. Sorry :-(
Thony, the meaning of the third sentence should be completely different :)
This is a clue, try again and thanks for your comments.

So it's only one word then?

I would have said "without a break" for #1, but I'm not sure about "without any break".

I won't say the word for #2, but I'll leave a hint: 4 letters, rhyming with "sale" :-)

I'm not sure about #3... Perhaps I can get a hint?

The first sentence is incorrect. You don't need the word ANY.

without fail (Not without any fail)

Leon thanks for this correction, it was taken from a book by polish authors... I am going to correct the first sentence.
