Happy Blog Day!

Let's celebrate this day and promote others :)
"On October 15th, bloggers around the web will unite to put a single important issue on everyone’s mind - the environment. Every blogger will post about the environment in their own way and relating to their own topic. Our aim is to get everyone talking towards a better future."

"An old school brother who gives his thoughts, opinions and insights on political and social issues of the day. He cares if you agree, and cares less if you disagree. No political correctness, or spell check on this blog. He cut's to the chase with short, intense or stimulating opinion and comments – as he leans to the left and right for balance - calling it the way he sees it. Yusuf (Cat Stevens) - Peace Train - Nobel Concert 2006

Now I've been happy lately,
thinking about the good things to come
And I believe it could be,
something good has begun

Oh I've been smiling lately,
dreaming about the world as one
And I believe it could be,
some day it's going to come

Cause out on the edge of darkness,
there rides a peace train
Oh peace train take this country,
come take me home again

Now I've been smiling lately,
thinking about the good things to come
And I believe it could be,
something good has begun

Oh peace train sounding louder
Glide on the peace train
Come on now peace train
Yes, peace train holy roller

Everyone jump upon the peace train
Come on now peace train

Get your bags together,
go bring your good friends too
Cause it's getting nearer,
it soon will be with you

Now come and join the living,
it's not so far from you
And it's getting nearer,
soon it will all be true

Now I've been crying lately,
thinking about the world as it is
Why must we go on hating,
why can't we live in bliss

Cause out on the edge of d…

Paul Simon & Art Garfunkel - Bridge Over Troubled Water

When you're weary, feeling small,
When tears are in your eyes, I will dry them all;
I'm on your side. when times get rough
And friends just cant be found,
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.

When you're down and out,
When you're on the street,
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you.
Ill take your part.
When darkness comes
And pains is all around,
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.

Sail on silver girl,
Sail on by.
Your time has come to shine.
All your dreams are on their way.
See how they shine.
If you need a friend
I'm sailing right behind.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind.

For Comrade Nuolinian, enjoy :)

Fancy dress party

I have been thinking how to start our meetings in Second Life and decided that we can learn taking trips there but maybe not at the beginning.
So the first "class" will be about clothes and how to describe people's appearance. After all it is so easy in SL! There are some free shops for newbies where everyone can dress up a costume.
Let's meet at the fancy dress party*!Apart of describing people we will have a quiz and than if we have
time we can go and see something new in SL. More about this meeting and some links to vocabulary websites you can findhere
The meeting on Saturday at 7 pm GMT in SL at our "school".* A costume party (American English) or a fancy dress party (British English), mainly in contemporary Western culture, is a type of party where guests dress up in a costume.

A place to meet and talk in SL

Now we have a group in SL thanks to Margaret and we have our own place in SL thanks to Jim. He prepared some space free of charge only for our group and our friends. We can talk there and have meetings and/or classes.
The landmark is: Casa de Estaban, Pinastri (110, 183, 650)
It is on the third floor or second one and it depends on British and American language. We can start our meeting there this Saturday at 7 pm GMT (as far as I know it is at 1 pm SL time).

Honestly speaking we have some small talk right now every day.

Sitting at the left: Jim/Marian, Philip, Garfield, Jola/Mariola, Mikka/Maggie, Johnnius/Ivan, Margaret/Bracken and PS2.

Below some more pictures from this meeting.

Jim as a peacock.

Hanging out with Petra.

Mikka trying to see the game better.

Pictures from Philip schools.

Harship of being a reporter

To make a perfect picture is not easy in both real and second life. And working on them in Google Picassa instead of Photoshop is a real challenge, but it is worth this fun I have with it.
I decided that Epoti deserves its own place to improve English and to learn some new things about Second Life in peace. In the end of the day it is not so expensive and maybe we will find a way to ear some money to have found for it. But of course I am still waiting for your personal opinion and for some guy who has been pushing me into it.

There are more pictures from from this world.

Giovanni and Ivan at Giovanni's school. Thank you Giovanni for your explanations and kind offer. I never forget about prims :)

Ivan, Maggie, me and Marian at ASL.

A weird place for new guys in SL.

Looking for speaking area for Epoti Group in SL

During the last days I have visited some new places and was talking to our friends from Epoti Group there. I have met some new guys and there is a report from this trips. Have you ever travelled so fast and taken pictures which you can immediately publish on the blog? Funny.

Yuuki, Margaret (Bracken) and me at Giovanni School.

Nice place above the park.

Some nice places in SL

I have visited some places in Second Life. At the beginning I was bored of SL, maybe because there was no possibility to speak and not much to do yet many things to learn.

A place used by Petra to teach business intermediate English. Like this sofas.

English Village, a start of Kip's lessons. I don't know more teachers there and you cannot hang out there.

But little by little with great help of Maxie and Margaret, and now Ivan I have reached enough ability to explore this world on my own. I feel a little bit like a reporter, lol.

English Village again. The point of teleportation.

Giovanni school. We meet there before classes. The first class is free, the next cost 300 Linden dollars. But you can join this Help Team and have classes for free, as far as I know.

We, with Ivan and Yuuki in class of Giovanni school. Always opens to hang out.

I have taken some pictures of important places for learning... and some which be used for our small group to hang out.
